Welcome. I'm Pam.

I'm so glad you've stopped by.

Whether you've come looking for a handmade gift, a quiet place to linger, or simply a little encouragement today, I hope you'll feel warmly welcomed here.

Westminster Accents is more than a handmade business—it's a place where faith, home, and hospitality come together through meaningful things made by hand.

My prayer is that everything you find here points to God's goodness and reminds you that the simplest acts of love often become the sweetest memories.

Where It All Began

Long before Westminster Accents had a name, it began with a little girl sitting beside her grandmother.

My Mamaw, Burkes, taught me to sew when I was eleven years old. We started with hand embroidery and cross-stitch, one careful stitch at a time. Looking back now, I realize she was giving me far more than a sewing lesson.

She was teaching patience.

She was teaching craftsmanship.

She was teaching that creating something by hand is one way we can love and serve others.

Those afternoons spent stitching beside her became some of the greatest gifts of my childhood.

Years later, I had the joy of teaching my own daughter to sew, and today I'm watching two of my granddaughters begin learning those same skills. What began with Mamaw's gentle hands has become a legacy passed from one generation to the next.

Why Westminster Accents?

The name Westminster Accents reflects something deeply meaningful to our family.

It was inspired by the Westminster Confession, a reminder that faith is not simply something we believe on Sundays—it's woven into the way we live each day. Even the tulip in our logo serves as a quiet reminder of our Reformed faith and the legacy we hope to pass on.

My son and daughter-in-law helped begin Westminster Accents, and together we dreamed of creating a business rooted in faith and craftsmanship. Today, that vision continues to grow as I create each piece with prayer, gratitude, and a desire to encourage others.

More Than Handmade

I believe a home is built through countless ordinary moments.

A warm welcome at the front door.

Coffee shared across the kitchen table.

A handwritten note tucked into a Bible.

Seasonal traditions remembered year after year.

A thoughtful gift given simply because someone needed encouragement.

Every stitch, every journal, every handmade creation, and every Blessing Box is designed with those moments in mind.

I don't simply want to make beautiful things.

I want to help create homes where people feel welcomed, loved, and reminded of God's faithfulness.

Beyond the Sewing Room

When I'm not creating in my sewing room, you'll often find me on my back porch with a cup of coffee, my Bible, and a notebook close by.

Those quiet mornings have become one of my favorite places to spend time with the Lord, to pray, to plan, and to simply be still.

They've also become the inspiration for Coffee & Conversation, where I invite others to slow down with me and reflect on faith, home, and the beauty of everyday life.

Because Westminster Accents isn't just about what I make.

It's about the life those handmade pieces become part of.

My Prayer

My prayer is that every package leaving my sewing room carries more than something handmade.

I hope it carries encouragement.

I hope it reminds you that home is built one thoughtful moment at a time.

I hope it inspires you to gather those you love, practice hospitality with joy, and remember God's faithfulness in every season.

Thank you for welcoming Westminster Accents into your home.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Pam
